Variable Speed Variable Frequency AC Drives

Our simple, flexible product lines make choosing the right drive very easy. For more demanding solutions our application engineers, located within our Drive Center network, are available to discuss your needs and provide advice. Variable frequency drives are an excellent choice for adjustable speed drive users because they allow you to fine-tune processes while reducing costs for energy and equipment maintenance.

AC Drives HP Chart

Our variable frequency drive (electronic controllers) adjust the speed (adjustable speed drives, variable speed drives, variable frequency drives) of electric motors by modulating the power being delivered. Control Techniques variable frequency drives provide continuous control, matching motor speed to the specific demands of the work being performed.

Commander SK - General purpose full featured

0.33 hp - 200 hp (0.25kW - 132kW)

115/208-230/460/575/690 Volts

CommanderSK AC Drives

The Commander SK range is easy-to-drive and great value. The drive modules are ultra compact and offer excellent motor control. With onboard PLC, I/O, Ethernet and fieldbus communications options, you can do much more than you would expect from a general purpose AC drive.

Save energy and control constant pressure with the Commander SK drive that is dedicated to pumping applications. The Commander SK Pump Drive is rich with features that are a perfect match for simplex (single pump) system needs.

Unidrive SP Panel Mount - High performance

0.5 hp to 200 hp (0.37kW - 132kW)

208-230/460/575/690 Volts

UnidriveSP PanelMount

Unidrive SP Panel Mounting version is a standard AC input, AC output drive module for system integration and standalone applications. It is extremely flexible, capable of controlling AC induction motors, servo motors and functioning as an active front end controller.

Unidrive SP is a complete drive automation range that covers the power spectrum from 0.5 to 2,900 hp. All drives share the same flexible control interface regardless of the power rating. Drives are packaged in three formats; Panel Mount, Free Standing and Modular.

Unidrive SP Free Standing - Ready to use

150 hp - 1000 hp (90kW - 675kW)

460/575/690 Volts

UnidriveSP FreeStanding

The Unidrive SP Free Standing drives range offers the same advanced feature set as the panel mount drives but in a pre-engineered convenient package, which can be connected to industry standard enclosures. The drives offer industry leading power/size ratios.

Unidrive SP Modular - Flexible Power

60 hp - 2,900 hp (45kW - 1.9MW)

208-230/460/575/690 Volts

UnidriveSP Modular

The Unidrive SP Modules offer the same advanced control feature set as our panel mount drives but with additional power system flexibility; the drives may be arranged to provide a common DC bus system with or without an active front end (regenerative, 4 quadrant operation). Very high current motors may be controlled using a multi-drive modular arrangement.

Commander SX - NEMA 4X for washdown environments

0.5 hp - 10 hp (0.37kW - 7.5kW)

208-230/460 Volts

CommanderSX

The Commander SX is a NEMA 4X (IP66) protected drive that enables users to mount the drive directly next to the motor giving significant cabling, enclosure and installation savings.

Motor Controls: Inverters, Variable Frequency, Adjustable Speed and Variable Speed AC Drives

Variable frequency drives are an excellent choice for adjustable-speed drive users because they allow you to fine-tune processes while reducing costs for energy and equipment maintenance. Control Techniques' variable speed, adjustable speed and variable frequency drives can help cut your energy consumption and in turn reduce your costs.

Our variable frequency drives (electronic controllers) adjust the speed of electric motors by modulating the power being delivered. Control Techniques variable frequency drives provide continuous control, matching motor speed to the specific demands of the work being performed.

Emerson Control Techniques offers a wide range of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and options to meet the diverse power and performance requirements of applications used in Water, Waste Water, Oil & Gas, Food Processing and other industries.

To highlight the special performance characteristics and features, ease of use and other benefits Control Techniques drives bring to applications, we have prepared a series of Industrial application flyers called Solutions. We also have made our green Energy Savings Solutions available for download.
